The Acacus Mountains or Tadrart Akakus form a mountain range in the desert of the Ghat District in western Libya, part of the Sahara .They are situated east of the city of Ghat, Libya and stretch north from the border with Algeria, about 100 km. The area has a particularly rich array of prehistoric rock art. The Tadrart Acacus have a large variation of landscapes, from different-coloured dunes to arches, gorges, isolated rocks and deep wadis (ravines).

The project reflects all this geographical identity in abstraction. It is firmly attached to the ground and its roots. It is located at a busy intersection in Tripoli, and the project incorporates the sidewalk that thousands of people ignore every day. In this area, wide and shaded terrace areas are formed at two different levels, and this intersection point suddenly turns into a semi-open public potential space. The roof of the building is again designed as a public space and it can be reached directly from the square by two elevators. Due to the dry and hot climatic conditions, the blocks are very close to each other. It both shades its own open areas and provides solar control in the spaces inside the building with the sun shading elements on the façade. While providing the parking areas that are the main need of the region, it also adds a new attraction center to the city.
