Cappadocia has hosted Anatolian civilizations for many years. Geological rock structure can be easily processed. Therefore, it is very suitable for construction. For many years, residents of the region have developed stonework from hills to caves. When the civil Turkish architecture spread to the Anatolian geography, we again come across mansions and houses made of stonework. This traditional and vernacular architecture embraces harsh climatic conditions with inherent elements.
The project strives to bring together local and regional architectural elements. Just like in ancient times, it transforms the above-ground and underground into space with the same meticulousness. The first of five different mansions includes public spaces such as the lobby and restaurant. There are accommodation units in other mansions. Under the last pavilion, there are spa and indoor swimming pools, while underground there are multi-purpose halls, workshops, and communal public spaces.
In its five different mansions, its orientation is towards the west, that is, towards the historical Urgup ruins. In this five-star hotel, you can both look at the hot air balloons in the sky with the first lights of the morning and witness the sunset in the evening.
